The Role
We are seeking a motivated and caring
Mental Health Nurse
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs
Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
Support patients through assessment, treatment, and recovery planning
Contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
You will need
Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting.
Ability to undertake patient/client education in the practice setting, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.
Details of appointment
Multiple fixed-term full-time or part-time, shift-worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to 4 months. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary
$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455–$105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Salary Packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
