As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. This position is engineering-focused, involving the design, development, validation, and technical delivery of engineered-to-order mechanical systems and equipment, with additional involvement in client support and technical sales activities. About the Role The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the engineering design, development, assessment, and technical support of mechanical systems, assemblies, and engineered solutions used within industrial gas drainage and automation environments. The role will involve interpreting technical requirements, developing compliant engineering solutions, supporting manufacturing and project delivery, and ensuring systems meet operational, safety, and performance standards. The role also includes secondary responsibilities supporting technical sales activities, proposal development, client liaison, and solution-based engineering support. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and assess mechanical systems, assemblies, and engineered equipment for industrial applications. - Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and project documentation. - Conduct engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system configuration to ensure solutions are safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose. - Collaborate with production and engineering teams regarding manufacturability, fabrication processes, assembly requirements, and system performance. - Assist with design improvements, product standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Provide mechanical drafting support using CAD software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms. - Review and validate technical documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. - Assist with project coordination, scheduling, testing, validation, and technical support throughout project delivery. - Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding technical clarifications and engineering support requirements. - Support technical proposal preparation, quotation development, tender submissions, and engineering-based solution recommendations. - Conduct client meetings and site visits to understand operational requirements and provide practical engineering solutions. - Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety standards, engineering compliance requirements, and company procedures.
