About the opportunity

NSW Health Pathology is looking for caring, reliable individuals to join our team as Pathology Courier Drivers – helping keep our community healthy and connected. This is more than just a driving job – it's about supporting vital health services for people in your own backyard. You'll play a key role in transporting pathology samples that help diagnose and treat patients quickly.

We've got you covered – a fully maintained service vehicle provided
Your route: Start your day in Moree, collecting samples from our Frome Street Collection Service and delivering them to Moree Hospital. Then head south to Narrabri, stopping at the local lab, before continuing to Gunnedah to meet our Tamworth-based courier for the final handover.
Work is scheduled on a rostered basis and may include weekends and public holidays to ensure continuity of service.

What you'll be doing
Provide an efficient, consistent and reliable pathology sample transport service which also transports collection equipment, results and other items as required to and from NSWHP laboratories, collection centres, clinics and hospitals.
Qualifications & responsibilities
Level of fitness appropriate to courier duties – walk long distances and lift, carry and move items of up to 10 kg over an eight-hour shift
Ability to be flexible and participate in a 24 hour / 7-day roster
Current unencumbered Class C NSW driver's licence with an exemplary driving record (recent RTA infringement record print-out required)
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrated excellent time-management skills with the ability to maintain high-quality work output while managing competing priorities
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team and to promote teamwork as a basis for improvement
