About the Role
A distinguished family in Toorak is seeking a discreet and experienced Housekeeper to maintain the impeccable standards of their private residence. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in private households or luxury hotel environments, with exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and a proactive, service-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the home to a pristine standard, including daily cleaning of all rooms and general upkeep
Make beds, change sheets daily, and ensure bedrooms are immaculately presented
Perform vacuuming, mopping, and deep-cleaning tasks with precision
Food preparation
Shop for all household items, including groceries for meal preparation
Run errands as required (driver's licence and own car essential)
Manage household operations, including coordinating tradespeople, repairs, and servicing
Answer the door, greet visitors, and maintain household security when needed
Provide full laundry care – washing, drying, ironing, and folding
Assist with general organisation, including tidying cupboards and wardrobes
Requirements
MUST
have prior experience in private households or 5-star hospitality settings; preference for candidates who have demonstrated stability in past roles
Superior time management skills and the ability to work autonomously with excellence
A professional, trustworthy, and friendly demeanour
MUST
have current Australian driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle
Strong references from previous private household or high-end housekeeping positions
A valid Police Check and Working with Children is required for this role
