Job Title:
Personal Care Companion
This role involves providing exceptional care and support to residents in a residential aged care setting.
* Supporting residents to live their lives with independence and choice;
* Contributing to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs of residents through assessment and observation;
* Implementing clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident's plan of care;
* Assisting residents with their personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging independence;
Key Responsibilities:
As a Personal Care Companion, you will be responsible for:
* Providing high-quality care and support to residents in accordance with their individual needs and preferences;
* Developing and maintaining effective relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals;
* Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care plans and progress;
* Continuously assessing and evaluating resident needs to ensure the provision of optimal care and services.

Requirements:
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification;
* Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support;
* Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal;
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage competing demands;
* Demonstrated flexibility, empathy, and patience when interacting with residents and their families.
