About the role
Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking to join a leading company in the electrical manufacturing industry? Based in our Edinburgh modern manufacturing facility,Mayfield is seeking a full-time Electrical Estimator to assist with the effective delivery of electrical and mechanical estimating and sales services through the professional preparation, competitive pricing and on-time delivery of tenders to maximise the probability of securing profitable switchboard, switchroom and engineered solution contracts.
This role is part of a team that contribute to the delivery of projects for clients in the following industries:
* Renewable Energy
* Infrastructure
* Power Generation & Transmission
* Water & Wastewater
* Mining
* Heavy Industry
* Minerals & Metals Processing
* Oil & Gas
What you'll be doing
* Support the delivery of accurate and timely electrical and mechanical estimates for projects.
* Ensure tenders are technically correct, cost-effective, and include adequate provisions for resources.
* Maintain precise document control throughout the tender process.
* Prepare and submit tenders on time, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly authorised.
* Review contract documentation and compare award terms against tender submissions.
* Build knowledge of relevant Australian standards and client-specific requirements.
* Assist Lead Estimators with Switchroom estimates and related tasks.
* Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines and tender output requirements.
* Use established systems and processes to prepare professional tender submissions.
* Clarify client needs to ensure tender content is accurate and relevant.
* Provide support for marketing activities, presentations, and tender negotiations as required.
* Respond promptly and accurately to client queries regarding tender submissions.
* Communicate with suppliers and provide updates to clients when necessary.

What we're looking for
* Prior experience in Electrical Trade, Electrical Engineering, or Estimating, or a related trade background is essential.
* Strong LV/ MV Electrical experience with an OEM or EPC is desirable.
* Experience as an Estimator in a manufacturing/ construction or similar business. Alternatively, a background of as an Electrical Engineer in Project related or OEM business or 2+ years Switchboard/Switchroom Workshop Experience.
