Be a CHAMPION of COMPANIONSHIP! Volunteer with a Sports Fan in your community.
Do you enjoy board games, watching sport, or simply sharing meaningful moments? A small amount of your time could make a big difference in someone's life.
We are looking for a kind and compassionate volunteer to visit an elderly person who is living comfortably in their own home and would love some friendly company.
What your visits might include:
* Playing board games together
* Watching a favourite TV show or sports match
* Reading aloud or sharing stories
* Listening to music in a relaxed, unhurried way
* Enjoying conversation and companionship
* What matters most is your presence.
Your time can bring friendship, reassurance, and joy to someone who truly values connection.
This role is perfect for someone who is:

No special skills are required — just empathy and a willingness to share a moment of kindness.

Your impact

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
One hour visits for 6 months or longer between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.
