The Lodge Resort and Spa Jamberoo is on the hunt for an experiences, hands-on General Manager to run this incredible South Coast Luxury Wedding and Accomodation Venue. We are a fast paced, fun and fast growing organisation and we pride ourselves on our staff culture and the unique customer experience that we provide across all our venues.

About the role

As THE head executive team leader, you will oversee ALL daily operations. We are looking for the best of the best, someone with vision, with passion and drive, who can think fast, solve problems and run a team.

You need to have at least three years experience in running a hotel wedding and accomodation facility with food and beverage outlets, and preferable with function experience as well - weddings are a huge part of our operation.

We want a GM that thinks of the customer and the guest experience in running the operation, while also prioritising staff and ensuring that there is a culture and team that love what they do.

You will report directly to the hotel Chief Operating Office and you will personally oversee staff across the entire operation including: reception, catering, bar, cleaners, back of house, day spa, weddings and functions, admin, grounds, maintenance, IT, marketing etc. You will work on site at the hotel located in Jamberoo and be very hands on and directly manager the team daily, leading with a hands-on approach and driving the occupancy, growth and profits.

As Hotel Manager, you'll proudly take the keys and manage the daily hotel operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the safeguard of the brand and its assets.

About You

* You are able to coach and mentor your team to ensure they have the soft and technical skills to run the operation effectively.
* You lead by extraordinary example in driving a culture that genuinely puts hospitality at the heart of what we do.
* Able to operate with best practice objectives and strictly adhere to relevant legislation in relation to WHS and employment law.
* You will be able to communicate with all staff and provide honest feedback on performance, and lead succession planning processes for staff.
* You are able to work in all departments of the business and will be hands on and also do front of house and back of house shifts yourself as a key member of this small team.
* You are constantly thinking of ways to make our brand and service a step above, coming up with unique concepts, services and memorable experiences that set us above and beyond.
* You are a great leader and can relate to all members of staff as their hands on Manager.
* You are able to solve problems easily and fast and take this in your stride as GM of a hotel operation.

About The Lodge Resort and Spa

The Lodge is a Luxury Wedding Venue and the sister property to THE WOODS FARM THE COVE JERVIS BAY, THE MERRIBEE and THE SIENNA HUNTER VALLEY

The Lodge is located over 9 acres and has 43 hotel rooms, a restaurant that seats 150, a bar for 50 and a champagne garden for 300. There is a day spa with several treatment rooms, gym, sauna, steam room, vichy showers, float tanks and out door spa. A wedding venue for up to 300, with a chapel and many other conference rooms and spaces across the venue. We are surrounded by rainforest on one side and beautiful rambling rivers on the other. A multi-million dollar renovation took place at the end of 2022 and the new operation launched with the new owners in 2023.
