About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of a Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation in Baldivis. In this key leadership role, you will manage a team of support staff, ensure safe and well-maintained accommodation, and uphold service excellence for participants living in the home.
In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will also provide direct support to the participant, assisting with daily living tasks, community engagement, and goal achievement, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
Accommodation Management
* Oversee daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, supportive environment.
* Report maintenance and WHS concerns promptly.
* Manage supplies and procurement in line with operational needs.
Support Staff Supervision
* Lead and support a team of Disability Support Workers.
* Oversee shift notes, performance management, and policy compliance.
* Conduct regular house meetings and professional development discussions.
Participant Support
* Monitor and promote the health and well-being of participants.
* Facilitate individual goal achievement and recreational activities.
* Develop care plans, including Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with allied health professionals and act as the communication bridge between staff and management.
* Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and families.
Incident & Risk Management
* Review and escalate incidents in line with policy.
* Conduct regular WHS inspections and follow up on any risks identified.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Certificate III or higher in Disability or Community Services.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within disability services.
* Solid understanding of NDIS principles and participant rights.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Current First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, Medication Administration, and CPI/MAPA certifications.
* Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A team player with a professional, confident approach.
Desirable:
* Strategic thinking and initiative.
* Experience with performance management and rostering.
* High-level problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
