This is an opportunity for an ambitious Junior Web Engineer to join a highly experienced team and contribute to building a game-changing product for the construction industry. This role is hybrid: 2 days in our Sydney (Surry Hills) office and 3 days remote.
Responsibilities
* Work within our product team to build new exciting features
* Implement pixel perfect designs to create attractive user experiences
* Improve the code base through continuous refactoring
* Implement unit tests and ensure rigorous E2E testing of new app releases
* Keep up to date with the state-of-the-art of web development
* Proactively communicate and build strong relationships with team members
Requirements
* Outstanding software engineer (React/TypeScript): shipped consumer-focused applications and built robust apps
* Experience building and supporting business applications with complex workflows (e-commerce, marketplaces, SaaS, or banking products)
* Basic SQL; able to dive into and interpret data
* Analytical mindset to think beyond happy path scenarios and ask relevant questions
* High focus and ability to differentiate essentials from nice-to-haves to reach results quickly
* Self-management of time and projects; lead by example
* Passion for software development and continuous improvement
* Strong UX and product sensibility
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with product designers for the best customer outcome
* B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
