We aim to be a service where people feel safe to speak up, supported to grow, and encouraged to bring curiosity, reflection and compassion into their work. Our practice is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centred and recovery-oriented principles — not only in how we work with consumers, but in how we work with each other.

The role includes undertaking specialist occupational therapy assessments, contributing to multidisciplinary formulation and care planning, and delivering evidence-informed interventions that support functional recovery, psychosocial rehabilitation, and meaningful engagement in daily life.

You will play a key role in supporting safe, well-planned transitions from inpatient care back into the community, working closely with consumers, families, carers and the treating team to support recovery-oriented discharge planning, continuity of care, and community participation. The role also involves active collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to service improvement initiatives, and supporting integrated models of care across Adult Mental Health Services North.
