Australian Venue Co. is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Management Accounting team. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate month-end reporting, analysing venue performance, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to drive better decision‑making.
What You'll Do
Month-End Reporting
* Prepare monthly venue P&Ls
* Review and reconcile F&B sales and COGS
* Analyse labour costs and operating expenses
* Prepare accruals and investigate variances
* Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders
Weekly Performance Analysis
* Review weekly P&Ls against budget
* Highlight risks, trends, and improvement areas
Business Partnering
* Build strong relationships across finance, venues and department heads
* Contribute to team meetings and improvement initiatives
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Prepare monthly reconciliations
* Investigate and resolve material reconciling items
What You'll Bring
* Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability
* Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
* High integrity, reliability, and a team‑first mindset
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting
* Part CA/CPA preferred
* 3+ years' experience in a large or mid‑tier firm or similar industry role
* Confident with accounting systems + intermediate Excel
