This exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated People & Development Consultant will see you managing the recruitment requirements for our Melbourne office as well as supporting our employees across the employment life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage recruitment and workforce planning
* Partner closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to support local office and national people strategies
* Provide performance and employee relations advice to support Partners, senior stakeholders and employees
* Contribute to and support national P&D projects aligned with the firm's strategic priorities
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in P&D processes, policies and systems
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies

Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years experience as a HR generalist
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to influence and build trust
* A proven track record in delivering client service excellence working with senior stakeholders and managing diverse client groups
* Self-confidence, initiative and good judgement
* Proven experience in expert sourcing and networking skills
* A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable approach, with a focus on outcomes
* Ability to work in a close knit team and autonomously
* Experience in a law firm highly advantageous
