Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing survey controls, conducting regular surveys and maintaining accurate mine plans.

Main Responsibilities
* Providing survey controls for development roadway alignment and grade control, including installing and extending sights, marking cut-through centers, recording positions and 2D as-built rib line surveys.
* Providing survey control for longwall installation, including maingate drive location, panline set-out, crusher, boot end locations, support shield placements and chainage markers.
* Recording development and longwall production regularly and providing volume reports for coal and dilution.
* Maintaining accurate mine plans, updating them daily and submitting as required by CMHSA (NSW).
* Drafting plans for underground installations, zones, fire management, ventilation, gas monitoring and emergency equipment.
* Measuring as-builts for drivehead design and supplying survey control for modifications and positioning.
* Maintaining survey control, topographic databases, borehole set-outs, subsidence and surface surveys.
* Maintaining survey equipment in good condition.
* Ensuring drafting accurately reflects design requirements for mine and support plans.
* Providing training and professional development to strengthen team competency and support Mine Surveyor Registration.
* Ensuring statutory compliance and traceability of work in management systems.
* Continuously extending and improving the underground mine plan based on operational and environmental data.
* Working in accordance with statutory responsibilities.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* Registration with the Board of Surveying & Spatial Information.
* Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency.
* Knowledge of underground mining survey processes and operations.
* Practical surveying experience preferably in underground coal mining.
* Proactive self-motivated attitude.
* Ability to apply risk management principles for safe work practices.
* High computer proficiency including AutoCad and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication skills.
* Effective planning organization and problem-solving skills.
