MacKellar are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team maintaining heavy mobile equipment in a well-established workshop environment. This is a permanent opportunity offering strong hourly rates, a balanced roster and long-term stability with a respected mining contractor.

Your role You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment to ensure reliability and safe operations across site.
Key responsibilities
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on heavy mobile plant
* Complete scheduled and preventative maintenance tasks
* Perform component change-outs, rebuilds and general servicing
* Conduct inspections and ensure equipment meets operational standards
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow site procedures
About you
* Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
* Experience maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment in mining
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
* Safety-focused with the ability to work both independently and within a team
