About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to join the team at the renowned Seabreeze Hotel in the beautiful coastal town of Tumby Bay, South Australia and expand their skills to a Head Chef Role. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering exceptional cuisine to delight our guests, while contributing to the continued success of our vibrant hospitality establishment.
What you'll be doing
1. Prepare and cook a diverse range of delicious meals using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
2. Ensure all food preparation and kitchen operations adhere to the highest health, safety and hygiene standards
3. Develop new and innovative menu items that showcase your culinary expertise
4. Provide guidance and mentorship to other chefs and kitchen staff to foster their skills and development
5. Contribute to the overall smooth running of the kitchen by undertaking administrative duties as required
What we're looking for
1. Significant experience as a Head Chef/Chef or Cook in a similar high-volume hospitality environment
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in high-volume hospitality kitchen environments
3. Min 12 months kitchen costing and admin experience including rostering.
4. A passion for creating delectable, high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
5. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider hotel team
7. A commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards
8. Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience
9. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification required
10. Must possess valid Australian work visa or work rights
