About the role
As an Investment Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering high-assurance investment data to support the Investments and Finance and Strategy Business Areas. You will develop and streamline data delivery processes to enhance investment modelling and reporting capabilities. You will ensure that solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with the broader investment data ecosystem strategy. Working closely with portfolio managers, investment reporting and modelling analysts, and data engineers, you will contribute to building world-class investment data capabilities.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, synthesise, and document formal investment data requirements. Lead joint working groups to define and drive actionable outcomes.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners to ensure alignment and optimise the delivery of shared goals, unlocking business value.
- Data Solution Delivery: Prioritise, develop, and deliver investment data solutions that effectively meet stakeholder needs and support strategic objectives.
- Ad-Hoc Data Provisioning: Respond to complex, ad-hoc data requests with precision and fit for purpose outputs.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure all data deliverables adhere to enterprise data governance standards and policies.
This role is available as a max-term/secondment opportunity until 30 June 2026 initially.
About you
- Relevant university degree (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent).
- Experience in Custodian/Investment Operations/Investment Data Projects.
- Advanced coding skills to support the creation of complex queries (SQL, Python).
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions and resolve issues.
- Strong understanding of data management best practice and governance principles.
- Effective interpersonal skills and experience driving stakeholder engagement, including presenting and influencing outcomes.
