Job Overview
This role is a Journalist position for 7News Regional in Wagga Wagga, reporting to the Southern News Editor. The successful applicant will source and write broadcast news for the Wagga Wagga market.
What You'll Do
Generate original daily story ideas for on-air presentations
Interview people, write and voice news stories
Develop and maintain contacts in the community
Research and prepare news reports
Create an effective and respectful rapport with internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Bring
You are an experienced Journalist, a talented and motivated self-starter with strong organisational and time-management skills, a creative mindset and a passion for news.
Proven experience writing news stories
Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications
Exceptional communication and written skills
Ability to work to very tight/precise deadlines
Understanding of broadcast law guidelines
