The Opportunity
Based out of Rokeby and reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading safe, efficient, and high-performing production operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining strong safety, quality, and cost outcomes.
You will play a key role in leading and developing the production team, driving operational performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Responsibilities
* Provide direction & support to the Production Team to ensure targets and KPIs are achieved
* Manage costs to ensure delivery is met in the most cost-effective manner
* Ensure employees are trained and competent to safely and effectively run operations
* Liaise with Maintenance and Planning teams to drive production plans
* Assist with development and implementation of process improvement projects supporting the factory and enhancing customer experience
* Monitor, analyse, and report on production performance, ensuring quality standards are met while optimising efficiency, resource utilisation, and downtime
* Lead by example to build and strengthen teams
Qualifications
* Operational and supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
* Experience managing safety within an industrial environment
* Demonstrated success in managing and leading teams
* Strong written & verbal communication skills and ability to engage and influence stakeholders across various levels
* Experience in the glass industry including IGU manufacture or glass processing machinery (highly desirable but not essential)
* Hands‐on approach, problem‐solving skills and mechanical aptitude
* Ability to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive productivity, quality, and cost outcomes
