Our client is a leading personal care and Hygiene Company that manufactures, markets, distributes and sells essential everyday consumer products across the Feminine Care, Incontinence Care, Baby Care, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene product categories.
They are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to provide maintenance inspections, assessments, and repairs within the factory.
Hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm but will then move to 3 x 12-hour shifts.
To be considered for this position, you need to be able to demonstrate the following.
1. Performing predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on all equipment as assigned
2. Equipment overhauls and rebuilds.
3. Performing tests to identify problems, maintain systems and equipment to an identified performance standard.
4. Being available for callouts as per the callout schedule and working a shift roster.
The suitable candidate will possess a high level of self-drive, a positive attitude and bring a collaborative approach to their work.
We are looking for someone with:
5. Trade Qualification (Fitter and Turner or equivalent)
6. Experience maintaining, servicing, and supporting breakdown on high-speed equipment, independently or in a team environment.
7. High level of mechanical aptitude,, supporting problem solving
8. Ability to work with different teams within the organisation Production/Engineers
9. General Machining experience (Lathe or Mill work to support breakdowns)
10. Ability to install and replace parts with precision
11. Advantageous to have Forklift Licence, Rigging Licence, Working At Heights Trained, EWP licence
12. Experience in maintenance Fitting & Turning and troubleshooting/repairs
13. A sound understanding of Pneumatic systems within the equipment.
