We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Front of House Coordinator who will assist the Visitor Services Manager with the management of the Front of House casual staff at the White Bay Power Station venue for the Biennale of Sydney ****.
As the Front of House Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the recruitment, rostering, training and administration of up to 50 Front of House casuals. As a key member of a small team, the Front of House Coordinator has a close working relationship with all positions in the organisation as well as a good understanding of the event and venue.
Please note that due to the nature of the exhibition some after hours and weekend work will be required.
The position reports to the Visitor Services Manager.

Experience in a festival environment

Management/supervision experience in a festival or hospitality environment

Ability to create and maintain a collaborative team environment

Experience using rostering systems such as Deputy and experience with project or CRM software, for updating and sharing reports.
A keen interest in, and commitment to, the work of Biennale of Sydney and knowledge and understanding of festival work
Good knowledge of the Biennale of Sydney and its various activities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
In collaboration with the Visitor Services Manager, screen applications and recruit appropriate levels of Front of House casuals for the exhibition at the White Bay Power Station
Plan and deliver ongoing training and development programs for Front of House staff to support them in carrying out their roles
Ensure that Front of House staff are thoroughly inducted regarding their responsibilities, WH&S procedures and in maintaining high standards of customer service
Along with the Visitor Services Manager and Front of House Supervisors, supervise staff to ensure best practice standards are maintained
Provide a safe environment and enjoyable experience for staff, volunteers and visitors
Administration
Maintain the Deputy rostering platform, working with the Visitor Services Manager to prepare and maintain the roster and ensure that this is distributed to staff in a timely manner
Together with the Visitor Services Manager, prepare a detailed report after the end of exhibition, outlining successful practices, issues and recommendations for the next Biennale edition.
Work, Health and Safety (WHS)
All staff are required to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of other personnel (including volunteers and interns) who may be affected by their conduct.
Participate in WH&S Committee meetings, candidate will have or be willing to attain a WWCC as required.
Key Performance
Successful management of Front-of-House program that provides a safe, engaging, and enriching experience for visitors. Maintain a high level of staff retention throughout exhibition period and demonstrate effective team management.
