Casual Maintenance Worker – Hands-On Role at the Royal SA Yacht Squadron
Are you a practical, reliable, and self-motivated person who enjoys variety in your workday? We're looking for a Casual Maintenance Worker to join our team on an as-needed basis to help keep our facilities and grounds in top shape.
This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, member-focused sporting club environment, where no two days are the same .
About the Role
You'll be doing a bit of everything — from mowing lawns and general yard work to odd jobs, basic carpentry, and general maintenance tasks around the club.
Duties may include:
* Mowing, whipper-snipping, and garden/yard maintenance
* Basic carpentry and handyman work
* Ad-hoc repairs and maintenance as needed
* Assisting with facility upkeep
* Occasional lifting and manual tasks
* Operating machinery and equipment safely
What We're Looking For
* Forklift licence – required
* Drivers License - required
* General maintenance or handyman experience
* Carpentry or builder's licence – an advantage, but not essential
* A strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised
* Problem-solving mindset and a can-do attitude
* Physical fitness and comfort with outdoor/manual work
* A flexible and dependable nature — available on an ad-hoc, casual basis
