Project Manager – Digital Services
Your opportunity This Project Manager role sits within a large, enterprise digital and technology environment delivering locally managed ICT initiatives that directly support frontline operations. You'll be responsible for end-to-end delivery of a discrete digital project, working closely with technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to ensure outcomes are delivered to scope, schedule, quality and cost.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced ICT Project Manager who enjoys working in regulated environments, managing multiple stakeholders and delivering practical technology outcomes.
The role Reporting into a senior project leadership structure, you will lead the delivery of a digital services initiative including new digital platforms and content solutions. You'll ensure appropriate governance, reporting and assurance processes are applied, while maintaining strong relationships across technology, operations and vendor partners.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage project activities from initiation through to delivery, ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved within time and budget constraints
* Establish and maintain project governance, schedules, risk and issue registers, and reporting frameworks
* Work closely with internal ICT teams, vendors and business stakeholders to coordinate delivery activities
* Identify, manage and escalate risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies where required
* Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and recommendations for senior stakeholders
* Ensure project communications, documentation and approvals comply with internal governance and government standards
About you
* Demonstrated experience delivering ICT or digital projects, ideally within complex or regulated environments
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, with experience across Agile and/or Waterfall delivery
* Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and manage competing priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level documentation
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a broader project team culture
Desirable
* Experience delivering outsourced or vendor-led technology solutions
* Formal project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, TOGAF or similar)
* Background in public sector or large enterprise environments
