**About the opportunity**
Our client is a leading, Australian homewares retailer seeking to expand their buying team due to growth in the business. Reporting directly into the buyer, we are seeking a strong Assistant Buyer looking for ongoing career progression amongst an amazing company culture. The role has exposure to multiple categories offering exciting and innovative opportunities.
**To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate**:
- Strong administrative skills and process management, and be someone who shows initiative and self-motivation.
- Passionate about homeware and product.
- Passion for the role, and ambition to be a Buyer longer-term.
- Confidence, strong communication skills, and be a good team player.
- Experience working in a retail buying office either as a Trainee Buyer/Merchandise Assistant ready for a step-up, or an existing Assistant Buyer seeking the opportunity for growth opportunities.
