Job Title: Design Coordinator
Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced design coordinator to lead a high-performing team delivering innovative infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, significant experience in engineering design advisory services, and strong leadership skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage designers, engineers, and technical staff within the design team.
* Ensure timely and efficient completion of allocated projects.
* Contribute to strategic and operational planning, workforce planning, and budgeting.
* Develop and manage an extensive engineering design program supporting Capital Works program.
* Manage design contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Desirable Skills:
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience in project management and contract administration.
* Ability to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
