About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in a new created role due to promotion. This role will see you preparing detailed estimates and tenders for commercial and maintenance projects, typically ranging between $50K – $3M and covering a variety of environments, including but not limited to education, healthcare, retail, Entertainment and Government facilities. Working closely with both internal project teams and external stakeholders, you will play an integral role in analysing tender documentation, preparing competitive estimates, managing cost data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and successful project outcomes, contributing to the ongoing success of the business. This position will also have the opportunity to develop and mentor a growing team whilst assist to shape a growing estimating division. Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates, take-offs, and tenders from initial enquiry through to completion Interpret and analyse technical drawings, plans, and specifications Ensure all tenders comply with industry regulations, legislation, and contractual requirements Collaborate with the project delivery team to manage budgets and timelines Maintain accurate cost databases and records for ongoing project monitoring Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive and compliant pricing Identify risks within designs and contracts, providing solutions and alternatives Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the estimating function Undertake site visits as required to ensure the accuracy of project scoping Team development – Mentoring, Lead & Support Benefits and Perks Competitive salary package dependant on experience Secure and consistent pipeline of projects Career development opportunities within a growing organisation Collaborative team environment with supportive leadership Multiple office locations across Melbourne Be part of a business with over 40 years of proven success and stability Requirements 3 years’ experience as an Estimator in the Electrical sector Demonstrated success in preparing and winning tenders ranging from $50K–$3M Strong technical knowledge of electrical estimating in commercial projects Proficiency with estimating tools/software such as Excel, Cubit, Buildsoft, or EstimateOne Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously Solid computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Suite Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence Ability to obtain (or already hold) a Police Check & Working with Children Check This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong reputation and long-term pipeline of projects.
