We are looking for a Manufacturing Team Member to join our team and play a pivotal role in our continued growth.

Established over 30 years ago, SteelChief is a locally family owned and operated company. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality products to our customers. We manufacture and install custom built sheds and storage solutions including workshops, storage lockers, garden sheds, aviaries and pet enclosures.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Team Member at SteelChief, you will be responsible for building and assembling sheds, workshops and storage solutions. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, the use of hand tools and good physical condition for manual labor. You will work in a supportive and collaborative environment that emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities for training, growth, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for;
* Maintaining safety, quality and manufacturing standards
* Manufacturing all components of custom orders
* Working to timeframes
* Working within the loading department preparing all components ready for delivery
* Operating various machines throughout workshop
* Assisting with installations
Although manufacturing experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as full on the job training will be provided
To be successful you will have;

* Experience with hand tools / power tools

* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to understand and follow processes and procedures
* Exceptional work ethic
* Proactive and results focused attitude
* A current Police check is required or must be willing to obtain
This is a full time position located within our Ballarat Workshop, as a valued team member you will learn a number of manufacturing skills including loading, shed assembly and machine operation.
