About the Role Reporting int to the Senior Credit Manager, this newly created Credit Officer role will be responsible for assessing loan applications in a broker led non bank environment. This is a rare opportunity to get in to a credit team, that offers a lot of career progression. You will work with a great new team. Key responsibilities include: Conduct end-to-end assessment of real estate, SMSF, and commercial loan applications, ensuring accurate evaluation of financials, security, and serviceability while preparing clear credit recommendations. Apply credit policy, responsible lending obligations, and risk frameworks to ensure compliance, high-quality documentation, and alignment with delegated authority. Identify and escalate risks, policy exceptions, incomplete information, and potential fraud indicators in a timely and appropriate manner. Manage application workflow efficiently from submission to decision, meeting turnaround times and supporting strong service and settlement outcomes. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and distribution partners, maintaining clear communication, contributing to team performance, and operating successfully in a fast-paced environment. What You Bring to the Role Ideal candidates will have 2 – 4 years experience in a non bank lending environment, gained in roles like credit, broker support, or mortgage operations. You have a “can do” attitude, are a team player and have a willingness to learn. You have strong technical skills and a working knowledge of the Australian mortgages sector. Candidates who have experience with self employed or more complex lending scenarios, will be highly regarded.
