About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Animal Attendant to supervise operations at the Bathurst Animal Rehoming Centre. Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role and be motivated to maintain high standards of animal welfare. The role involves the overseeing of the day‐to‐day operations of BARC and supporting staff in animal care duties such as cleaning, disinfection of kennels, feeding and care of impounded animals. Experience in handling dangerous or aggressive dogs is a minimum requirement of the position.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high standard of customer service, assisting members of the public with animal release and adoption enquiries both in person and over the phone. Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring of staff will be highly regarded. Proficiency in financial management of staff, resources and working within budgets is desirable. Intermediate computer skills in MS Office applications and an ability to use online databases and case management software (supported by on‐the‐job training) are essential requirements of the role.
The position will be offered as a permanent part time position. Candidates must be available to work on weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.
This position may a pre‐employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.

$1,376.88 per week + 12% superannuation
