Your new companyExciting opportunity to work for a large State Government Department, with projects WA wide. This role will see you based full time from the South Hedland office, and the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluation and investigation of traffic management and road safety issues and incidents, including road safety audits
Roles & responsibilitiesInvestigate and assess traffic management and road safety issues, recommending practical solutions across areas such as heavy haulage, signage, roadside advertising, line marking, crossings, intersection treatments, and vulnerable road user safety.Conduct and contribute to road safety audits, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.Review planning applications and traffic management plans, providing technical advice on traffic and safety internal teams and local authorities on traffic management, road safety matters, and technical standards.Maintain and update traffic and road safety datasets, ensuring accuracy and usability for decision‑making.Support road planning activities, including corridor management, subdivision assessments, and project planning clearances.Collect, analyse, and validate road traffic and asset data, preparing reports and visual outputs in spreadsheets, ArcGIS, and related tools.Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders such as transport operators, police, schools, community groups, and local authorities.
What you’ll need to succeed/ Experience
Accreditation/ Ticket in Advanced Worksite Traffic Management Possession of a current Western Australian 'C' Class (car) motor vehicle drivers’ licence
