This is a hands-on, on-the-floor role supporting the Warehouse Manager/Receiving Inventory Manager in problem-solving, planning and providing support across the Warehouse.
The role is to lead and manage a team of operators and will report to the Warehouse Manager or the Receiving /Inventory Manager. The role will drive the department, and provide leadership, motivation, and control of the KPIs to reach the targets of the department. The team will perform a range of warehouse duties. You will also include actioning various data transactions within the warehouse ERP and WMS, along with this there will be hands-on warehouse operational duties.

**Experience**:
- 3+ years' experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills as a team leader/supervisory role in managing people
- Experience and solid understanding of warehouse procedures, best practices and KPIs
- Experience with WHS/ERP system highly regarded (JD Edwards, Oracle)
**Education**:
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal education or certifications in Warehousing/Logistics/Supply chain Operations
**Essential Functions & Accountabilities**:
- Determining training needs, coaching, and guiding staff through more meaningful conversations.
- Conducting team meetings every month, (at least) one-on-one catch-up meetings with each team member.
- Setting objectives, holding regular formal or informal performance reviews, carrying out annual performance reviews, and ensuring support required to achieve goals is provided.
- Steering team engagement, putting the appropriate action plan in place to maintain a high level of engagement, and knowing the team members through more individualised relationships.
- Taking timely ownership of HR issue resolutions for absenteeism, behavioural and performance issues, and escalating HR issues timely for awareness and visibility.
- Actioning various data transactions within the warehouse ERP and WMS, along with this there will be hands-on warehouse operational duties.
- Ensuring an appropriate level of engagement with internal customers, including investigating customer complaints when needed to lead to the successful conclusion of root cause identification.
- Ensuring service levels (KPI) are maintained and where possible exceeded in compliance with departmental targets.
