This role requires a skilled builder with extensive experience in the industry to manage reinstatement projects on a part-time, office-based basis. You'll draw on your technical knowledge gained through years of hands-on building work to obtain necessary plans and permits for clients.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with specialists to understand reinstatement requirements for domestic and strata properties, ensuring timely project delivery.
* Work with internal consultants to confirm onsite findings and develop a comprehensive scope of works.
* Ensure project contributors meet expected timeframes while maintaining professionalism and communication.
* Monitor and manage external experts, sourcing new providers when necessary, to maintain project momentum.
* Read and interpret technical reports from engineers, architects, surveyors, and other experts, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
* Lead the Building Approvals team and manage your own portfolio of projects, driving results-oriented outcomes.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
* Proven experience in domestic construction.
* Demonstrated expertise in Building Approvals, with a strong understanding of local regulations and codes.
* Excellent computer literacy and above-average grammar and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
* Outstanding communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
* Knowledge of the insurance industry, preferred but not required.
