You've made travel your career and you love customers and the travel design – but you also genuinely enjoy the processes and systems.
You have excellent attention to detail and love fine tuning the way a business works to improve efficiency. You have an eagle eye for the bottom line and know how to extract every penny out of a booking.
You enjoy the challenge of custom travel because it requires serious organisation, sharp thinking, and calm problem solving. Things go wrong. Clients change their minds. Flights cancel. Suppliers miss details. You're the person who fixes it – any time it is needed – and you take pride in finding smart, creative solutions when others would panic.
You love creating unforgettable trips for people, especially when they aren't stock standard packages, but where you can take a brief, truly understand the client, do the research, and design a custom experience they will remember forever, and know it was you who made it happen.
You're not looking for an "easy" role. You want something meaty. Where you can fully own outcomes, work with high end clients, and be relied upon to run things properly.
You also want more than just a job.
You want to work for an owner who is looking to invest in other business over the next five years and wants to give shares or equity to the right person. Someone who wants to be a true second in charge – and eventually, a business partner.
This role is with Travel Your Style. The owner is deeply entrenched in the business and clients love him. Right now, everything sits on his shoulders. He's looking for someone who can share the burden – not just operationally, but relationally.
One of your roles will be to bring in new business to help the company grow but also to work with existing clients and win their trust and share the responsibility of maintaining their custom.
You'll view this as your business in the making. You love building businesses. You're personable, confident, and you don't shy away from sales. You're happy to take over that side completely and grow it.
You'll be responsible for sales, client liaison, itinerary creation, supplier relationships and office management - basically supporting the owner in a true 2IC capacity – You must be comfortable thinking big picture and acting in the best interests of the business, with the long-term intention of running the business alongside the owner.
A vital part of this role is managing the agency when the owner is overseas or working on other business development. There are two other consultants and an admin team member with plans to recruit, and they will look to you for leadership, clarity, and decision making.
The role is full time and fully remote from anywhere in Australia, but this is not a 9 to 5 job. Travel doesn't stop. Issues arise outside of hours and on weekends, and you are expected to step in and solve them.
This is the kind of role where you look back in a few years and say, "I helped build this – and now it's partly mine."
It's rewarding, demanding, and not for the faint hearted.
