Hervey Bay Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Prosthetist - Senior to join our Oral Health Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑quality oral health care for the Fraser Coast community while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.
Your Opportunity:
* To deliver high quality Dental Prosthetic clinical services within a specific work unit or as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.
* To provide safe and effective dental prosthetic service, working independently as a multi-disciplinary team member, with infrequent need for direct clinical supervision. Utilising knowledge, clinical skills, judgement and problem-solving ability to make clinical decisions for patient caseload.
What we're looking for:
* Demonstrated competent high level dental prosthetic knowledge, clinical skills, technical skills and ability to provide comprehensive assessment, monitoring and evaluation of clients with a goal orientated, time-limited rehabilitation focus.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary Hospital & Health Service-wide team and provide case management and care coordination for a diverse increasingly complex clinical case load in accordance with organisational goals.
* Demonstrated competent communication skills that enable the development of improved service delivery outcomes and effective relationships with staff, clients and other key stakeholders.
* Awareness of and ability to apply and adhere to organisational policies.
* Ability to maintain and apply effective interpersonal skills to facilitate the provision of a friendly, caring environment for the treatment of patients/clients.
* Ability to obtain the knowledge required of contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination, as applied in the working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution of a Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) in Dental Prosthetics and registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $132,567 p.a., comprising salary between $79,051 - $116,189 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
