Shutdown DIDO: Mechanical Fitter / Boilermaker / Rigger-Dogman / Trade Assistant
BMR Engineering is a locally owned and operated business that has been serving the Bunbury and South West Region for more than 30 years. We provide Machining, Mechanical Repairs, Fabrication and Maintenance Services to local industries, and we pride ourselves on providing high quality products and exceptional service to our clientele.
We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers, Rigger/Dogman and Experienced Trade Assistants for a month long maintenance shutdown (2nd October to 31st October 2025) within an hour drive of Bunbury.
Hours will be 12 hour days, DIDO with transport provided from a set collection point. Accommodation may be negotiated or travel allowance will apply to those in the Bunbury area.
Mechanical Fitter requirements:
- An Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- White Card (current), or ability to obtain
- Confined Space ticket (within last 2 years)
- Working at Heights (within last 2 years)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and on-going drug and alcohol screenings
- Elevated Working Platform ticket - desirable
Boilermaker requirements:
- An Australian Recognised Trade Certificate– MIG & Stick experience
- White Card (current), or ability to obtain
- Confined Space ticket (within last 2 years)
- Working at Heights (within last 2 years)
- Ability to complete and pass a weld test certification
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and on-going drug and alcohol screenings
- Elevated Working Platform ticket - desirable
- White Card (current), or ability to obtain
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and on-going drug and alcohol screenings
- Confined Space ticket – desirable (within last 2 years)
- Working at Heights – desirable (within last 2 years)
- Elevated Working Platform ticket - desirable
Experienced Trade Assistant:
- White Card (current), or ability to obtain
- Confined Space ticket (within last 2 years)
- Working at Heights (within last 2 years)
Candidates should also possess a commitment to safety, a keen eye for detail, be a team player and have a positive attitude. Previous site maintenance experience is advantageous.
