**Microbiology Laboratory Technician (Level Two)**:
**About the role**:
Join our IANZ-accredited Microbiology team and contribute to high-quality scientific testing that supports New Zealand's food and supplement industries. In this permanent position, you will:
- Perform analytical testing and validation procedures
- Prepare samples and maintain laboratory cleanliness, and general laboratory tasks such as media preparation and cleaning glassware.
- Accurately record and document laboratory results and procedures
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Support quality control and compliance with IANZ and GMP standards
- Participate in equipment maintenance and calibration
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- A relevant diploma (or equivalent) in a related field, or be studying toward this qualification
- At least three years' experience in a commercial Microbiology laboratory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry
- Competence in general laboratory skills, including the use of balances, pipettes and laboratory tools
- Experience with automated laboratory instrumentation (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent teamwork
- A positive attitude and willingness to complete routine hands-on tasks
- May be required to work with effluent samples therefore must be vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated, against Hepatitis A & B, Poliomyelitis, Tetanus and Diptheria and maintain full vaccination status.

We are also Medsafe-approved, offering GMP-certified microbiological testing focused on herbal, nutraceutical, and dietary supplements.
