Position Overview:
The ICT & Automation Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing and implementing automation systems across customer sales, manufacturing, and administrative operations. This role provides technical support, maintains IT infrastructure, manages website and CRM systems, and ensures seamless integration of tools to improve efficiency across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems & IT Support
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure
- Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV, biometric, and security systems
- Support users with day-to-day IT needs, system setup, and troubleshooting
- Automation & Workflow Integration
- Design, implement, and maintain automated systems for:
- Customer sales workflow (quoting, follow-ups, CRM communications)
- Workshop and manufacturing production processes (job tracking, handovers, progress updates)
- Customer engagement throughout each stage of the manufacturing and delivery process
- Use tools such as Excel (VBA), Google Sheets, and Make/Integromat to automate manual tasks and ensure system connectivity
- Integrate CRM systems with internal processes to improve sales, communication, and reporting
Website & CRM Management
- Maintain and update WordPress websites, including booking systems (e.g. Amelia) and content
- Ensure data syncing between CRM, spreadsheets, and customer communication channels
Administrative Process Development
- Develop and manage dynamic spreadsheets for stock control, quoting, and ordering
- Automate document generation (e.g. PDF quotes, job sheets) and customer notifications
- Support back-end administrative tasks by streamlining and reducing manual workload
Design & Marketing Support
- Design branded assets including vehicle decals, social media graphics, brochures, and digital ads
- Support marketing efforts with Google Ads setup and campaign maintenance
- Ensure all design materials align with brand identity and business goals
Key Selection Criteria:
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years' experience in ICT support or automation systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA/macros) and Google Sheets
- Strong experience with Make/Integromat and CRM platforms (e.g. Go High Level)
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks, Windows OS, CCTV, and biometric systems
- Practical experience with WordPress website updates and integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently across departments
Desirable Skills
- Background in manufacturing, workshop environments, or automotive/caravan industry
- Familiarity with customer experience mapping and automated communication systems
- Experience in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Basic knowledge of Google Apps Script, CSS, or Java
