Procurement Officer for Earth Observation Program
Overview:
The role involves providing procurement and commercial advice to the Earth Observation (EO) Program within Space Division. The program aims to manage, govern, and deliver EO capability to inform decision-making about Australia's resources and environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide procurement and commercial advice and support to the EO Program
* Advise on strategic procurement and contracting issues
* Develop and manage complex stakeholder relationships
* Ensure compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks
* Engage in risk management and coordinate procurement activities
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts
* Knowledge of government procurement systems and Commonwealth Contracting Suite
* Organisational skills, self-drive, and initiative
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Formal qualifications in procurement, contract management, and/or commercial law desirable
