The broader Reward team (or Chapter Area) encompasses Executive Reward, Reward Consulting & Advisory, Reward Foundations & Insights and Reward Governance. The team assists the business in maximising its return on its greatest investment: our people. We operate in an agile environment which provides opportunities to work across prioritised projects requiring executive reward expertise.
The Executive Reward team is part of the Enterprise Leader Effectiveness (ELE) Centre of Excellence and is responsible for managing remuneration arrangements and related processes for the Groups most senior leaders. In addition, we manage fee arrangements for Non-Executive Directors, deliver annual reporting and governance materials to the People & Remuneration Committee and manage external remuneration disclosures including the Remuneration Report for the Group.
About the role:
We are looking for an Executive Manager, Executive Reward to lead the development and execution of our executive reward strategies for our senior leaders across the Group, supporting and delivering a seamless experience. This role is pivotal in ensuring our executive reward frameworks are creative, globally competitive, and aligned with our strategic objectives, maintaining long term competitiveness and driving outperformance.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide reward advisory to key stakeholders, including researching and analysing remuneration insights from multiple perspectives to inform executive reward strategies.
- Develop and implement executive reward programs (remuneration and performance) aligned to Group priorities with reference to global market trends, ensuring executive remuneration is competitive and compliant with regulatory requirements and attracts, retains and motivates top executive talent.
- Collaborate across the ELE Centre of Excellence and with cross-functional teams to enhance the senior leader experience and deliver seamless customer journeys.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of executive reward frameworks and practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge and commercial understanding of performance and reward, identifying emerging trends impacting the Group’s executive reward strategies and frameworks.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching and development of the executive reward team and Chapter.

- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse available data to build strategies (initiatives and sequencing) to drive desired outcome within a large, complex organisation
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build strong relationships to effectively persuade and influence stakeholders, while building the strategic thinking capability of the team
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems by working consultatively with others and demonstrated capability to think critically and develop innovative solutions
- Achievements in managing situations where leadership and influencing skills are paramount to achieving success
- Understanding of the financial services environment is preferred but not essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Finance or Business
