Wind Turbine Blade Repair Specialist
Rigcom is seeking experienced individuals to work on wind farm repair and maintenance projects across Australia. The successful candidate will report to the Site Lead and be responsible for repairing composite materials on wind turbine rotor blades and other installations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repair tasks in line with the requirements of the blade repair plan, supervised by the Site Lead and Composites Engineer.
* Conduct safe and efficient blade maintenance, inspections, and repair work using rope access or BAP (training provided).
* Participate in site inductions, toolbox, and daily pre-start meetings.
* Complete electronic reporting requirements for clients.
* Work closely with supervisors, other technicians, and stakeholders on site.
* Adhere to all safety and site compliance standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold Full GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Blade Repair (BR) certificate.
* IRATA Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certification (Level 3 highly desirable).
* Hold a White Card, LVR/CPR.
* Enter & Work in Confined Spaces qualification within two years.
* Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Be willing to do a 3-weeks-on, 1-week-off roster.
* Pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience conducting or assisting with complex blade repairs.
* Experience with GE, Nordex, Suzlon, or Siemens turbines.
* EWP ticket and High-Risk Work Licence.
