This role will support the implementation, management and evaluation of the electronic controlled drugs register project across pharmacy departments and all areas that use monitored medicines within Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The role is responsible for coordinating stakeholders, managing project timelines, drafting communications, and monitoring the achievement and impacts of implementation.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist - Advanced (Project Officer) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Develop and maintain advanced level technical and operational knowledge of the systems, software and various current state workflows across multidisciplinary teams and clinical units
* Develop strong working relationships with all internal and external vendor stakeholders
* Use strong written communication skills
* Participate in and provide effective leadership of the business processes, mapping current and future states
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
* AHPRA Registration
* Sound knowledge of Queensland legislation relating to Schedule 8 medicines
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Temporary part time (12 Months with possibility of extension, 38 hrs p.f.)
* Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the GCHHS, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Health Centre, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services.
