THE ROLE
Reporting to the Finance Manager, working in a highly functional team, you will provide accurate and timely financial data and analysis to ensure the production of monthly accounts, budgets, and forecasts. Other duties are as follows:
* Assist the FM and the team with month-end and year-end tasks and account reconciliations
* Attend to audit queries, including internal and external, and SOX control
* Act as the finance subject matter expert for the local ERP system (SAP) and Global BI
* Responsible for annual statutory accounts reporting FBT, Transfer Pricing, and taking a lead role in accounts preparation for NZ and AU
* Preparation of annual income tax returns
* Full ownership of inventory, standard costing, and landed cost accounts
* Full ownership of the Fixed Assets Register
* Prepare the full monthly reporting package for ANZ Board meetings
* Assist the FM in FX transactions and reporting
* Assist the team with balance sheet accounts, forecasting, and budgeting
* Intercompany accounts and reconciliations
THE PERSON
Degree qualified, you must be commercially astute with ideally experience in a large, complex organisation; you will demonstrate your ability to work across various functions in the business and add value by continuous improvements. Excellent communication skills will see you partner with internal and external stakeholders effectively. You must be able to multitask as this position has a variety of responsibilities, which will keep you challenged and motivated. Ideally, you will have experience with SAP and Advanced Excel.
