Sterling Health and Human Services (Hanson Medical Centre) Locations:
Craigieburn, Kilmore, and Lancefield, VIC

About Us
At Hanson Medical Centre, we believe that great technology is the backbone of great
healthcare. We operate three clinics across Lancefield, Kilmore, and Craigieburn,
dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to our local communities. We
are looking for a proactive Systems Administrator who understands that keeping our
servers running smoothly isn't just about "IT"—it's about ensuring our doctors and
patients have the tools they need when it matters most.
The Role
This isn't a "desk-only" job. You will be the technical lead across our three sites,
ensuring our operating systems, servers, and communication infrastructure are
secure, fast, and reliable. Because you will be supporting three different locations,
you'll enjoy a dynamic work week where no two days are the same.
How You'll Make an Impact
You will plan, install, and troubleshoot our server hardware and software, ensuring the entire "computer site" design allows all components to work together seamlessly.
You'll take ownership of our system security and disaster recovery planning. This includes managing automated backups, recovery procedures, and enforcing integrity controls.
You will monitor and adjust network performance and continually survey our sites to recommend future enhancements or server upgrades.
When things go wrong, you are the expert. You'll diagnose and repair hardware/software malfunctions across workstations and our communication infrastructure.
You will liaise with our security vendors and service providers, monitoring performance and ensuring our service level agreements are met.
You'll keep our "insutruction manual" up to date, recording system logs and maintaining clear operational policies.
What You'll Bring
A Bachelor's degree in ICT or a related field. Alternatively, at least five years of relevant industry experience or senior vendor certifications can be substituted for a formal degree.
Experience with server-related hardware, software malfunctions, and complex database management systems.
The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff (our doctors and admin team) in a way that is helpful and clear.
Because you are supporting Lancefield, Kilmore, and Craigieburn, you must have a valid Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle. You take pride in being "on the ground" where the action is.
Why Join Us?
You will have the responsibility to shape our future network needs and make recommendations for enhancements.
Your work directly supports the health and well-being of the patients in our regional and metropolitan clinics.
A permanent role within a growing healthcare group.
How to Apply
If you are a problem-solver who enjoys variety and wants to take ownership of a
multi-site network, we want to hear from you.
Please submit your Resume and a Cover Letter detailing your experience with multi-
site systems administration and confirming your ability to travel between our
locations.
Sterling Health and Human Services is an equal opportunity employer.
