About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist at Mable, you will leverage your expertise in data science to help us continuously improve the services we provide. You\'ll research, develop, and optimise machine learning models and generative‐AI solutions for both external and internal customer‐facing tools and processes in a fast‐paced, high‐growth environment.

* Partner with product managers, software engineers, data/ML engineers and UX designers to operationalise and enhance production‐grade data science services.

What we\'re looking for

* 4+ years of industry experience delivering data science solutions.
* Strong understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques.
* Experience on projects using traditional AI, generative AI and agentic AI.
* Familiarity with generative‐AI aspects such as context engineering, Retrieval‐Augmented Generation (RAG), agent orchestration and evaluation.
* Experience with modern agentic‐AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
* Design and implementation of AI safety guardrails for trustworthy, compliant model behaviour in production.
* Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub.
* Proficiency in ML model development and analytics tools such as Python.
* Familiarity with data visualisation and storytelling.
* Initiative and ownership to deliver work autonomously.
* Strong collaboration skills.
* A solutions mindset and a "can‐do" attitude.
* Comfort with ambiguity and a fast‐paced, rapidly growing environment.

Nice to have

* Knowledge of two‐sided marketplaces.
* Experience in the care industry (aged care and disability care).
* Experience with probabilistic machine learning models, prediction accuracy and uncertainty estimation.
* Experience with deep learning models and high‐dimensional data.
* Proficiency with unstructured data (particularly text).
* Proficiency with data/analytics platforms such as Databricks and AWS.
* Previous experience in A/B test design and feature effectiveness analysis.

Benefits

* Learn from industry experts and experienced leaders, with on‐the‐job opportunities.
* Access to 14 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers and 6 weeks for secondary carers, plus superannuation.
* Hybrid workplace with flexible on‐site and remote work.
* Extra paid leave day per quarter to support wellbeing.
* A floating public holiday to celebrate significant days your way.
* Reward and recognition program.
