About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
Our team provides care for patients in acute medical and oncology wards, with the flexibility to provide support across other clinical areas as required. You will work closely alongside the interdisciplinary team on the ward/s, providing clinical care based on best available evidence.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and evaluate patients' needs to develop individualised treatment plans in the medical and oncology population
* Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life
* Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and discharge planning
* Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and achieving therapy goals
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
* A Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current Occupational Therapist registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
