Are you passionate about understanding people and helping shape exceptional digital experiences through user insights? Do you have a curious mind and a collaborative spirit? LexisNexis is looking for an early-career User Researcher to join our growing UX team in Sydney.
About our Team
You'll be joining a supportive UX team with a strong culture of mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We work closely with product, design, development, and strategy teams to drive user-centred product innovation. While we operate within a structured corporate setting, we encourage open dialogue, creativity, and diverse thinking.
You'll have opportunities to learn from senior researchers, contribute meaningfully to projects from day one, and develop a deep understanding of both users and product strategy.
You'll be mentored by experienced researchers, encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, and supported as you develop your own voice and research style. We foster a culture of psychological safety, where sharing ideas, asking for feedback, and learning from mistakes are celebrated. Our team also prioritises balance-we respect your time, value flexibility, and create space for personal and professional development.
About the Role
As a UX Researcher, you'll work closely with senior researchers, UX designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to uncover user needs, behaviours, and motivations. You'll support small to medium-sized projects while developing hands-on experience in planning, conducting, and synthesising user research that directly impacts product direction and user experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful career in research and UX-especially if you're eager to learn, take initiative, and grow your technical skills in a corporate yet agile product environment.

2. 1-3 years of experience in user research, preferably within a product or technology environment
3. Familiarity with a variety of research methodologies (interviews, observations, usability testing, task analysis, etc.)
4. Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional setting
5. Curious about complex systems like the legal industry (no legal background required!)
6. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
