Our modular, autonomous systems use insects to process food waste sustainably and at scale. Based out of Hume, ACT we grow, distribute and process insects for our sites spread out across ACT and NSW.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers to join our logistics team, to support the collection and transport of live insects and by-products waste to and from client sites in the ACT and NSW to our base in Hume, Canberra. Hours vary depending on need of the business but mostly within 7am-7pm. Occasional overnight hauls as per need of business.

MAIN DUTIES
* Driving trucks of various size under both MR and HR license
* Travelling to locations in Canberra and interstate to deliver and collect bio material and collect organic products
* Follow internal procedures and best practice for pre and post run checks
* Comply with NHVR requirements and internal procedures to ensure safe working conditions are met
* Loading and unloading bins on and off the truck using mechanical handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)
* Checking and securing the load
* Preparing transport documentation
* Cleaning, washing, refuelling and ordinary maintenance of vehicle
* Support emptying and cleaning of pallet bins
* Support yard duties when required
* Undertaking any other reasonable duties which fall within the remit of this role
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Full clean HR Drivers Licence
* Forklift licence
* Experience with driving a variety of trucks
* Proven working experience in a commercial Truck Driver role
* Materials Handling experience highly desirable
* The ability to drive safely, and a thorough understanding of and adherence to the regulations set out in the rules of the road for the ACT & NSW
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role (e.g. some lifting up to 20kgs may be required)
* Basic mechanical knowledge
* Digital literacy skills - a mobile phone is required to communicate with the team and for task management through the applications Slack and Asana
* Own reliable transport to and from work base in Hume, Canberra
* Availability to work between Monday-Saturday and flexibility with hours
