**Logistics Manager Role**
As a Logistics Manager, you will lead the logistics team to achieve performance targets, maintain stakeholder relationships, and support customer service goals of delivering in full, on time, and fresh (DIFFOT) through operational excellence.
You will make quick decisions and analyze data to ensure effective operations. You will play a key role in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement within logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Embed and promote Zero Harm and Food Safety visions within logistics.
* Provide leadership to enhance team performance and skills aligned with business goals.
* Manage inbound and outbound transport schedules, controlling inventory accuracy.
* Implement best practices in systems, processes, and plant improvements.
* Improve KPIs related to freight utilization, distribution, inventory, and equipment control.
* Collaborate with stakeholders such as Operations and Produce Supply to identify improvement opportunities.
* Plan proactively for volume increases during peak periods.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years of management experience in logistics and supply chain, preferably in FMCG with short shelf life.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Science, or Engineering are advantageous.
* Experience managing automated warehouse systems, including robotics and automated racking.
* Experience leading WMS system implementations and transitioning legacy data.
* A proven ability to manage change and drive improvements.
* Strong IT skills, including WMS and TMS systems.
* Strong business acumen.
