We have a delightful opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic baker who wants to bring delight to all of our customers by making quality bread and other delicious products. At Brumby we take pride in moulding the perfect creation born from simple ingredients. The suitable baker will be trade qualified, have experience in making bread, pastries and cakes from scratch, working with sourdough, hand moulding, slow fermentation.
The bakers will have the opportunity to be creative, and design new products based on market trends.
As a Baker you will need to possess the following:
· Prepare baking materials and ingredients prior to production.
· Measure, mix, kneading, hand moulding, cutting, shaping, scaling dough and batters according to recipes.
· Monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures during baking process.
· Preparation of pastry and fillings.
· Prepare high-quality, made-to-order, artisan goods.
· Inspecting quality of products throughout production process.
· Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness practices throughout the shift, to ensure OH and S regulations are followed.
· Ensuring wastage is minimised and budget of supplies and materials are adhered.
Successful applicants must have the following:
· Relevant qualification
· At least 2 years of relevant experience
· Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
· Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
· Willingness to constantly learn and be inspired
· Possess effective communication skills
