Community Support Role
The Community Services Support Worker plays a pivotal role in providing personal, physical and emotional support to individuals in need. This involves assisting with daily living tasks, working effectively in a community support environment, and communicating positively with participants and consumers.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing friendly and compassionate support to individuals requiring assistance with daily living tasks.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for participants and consumers.
* Participating in safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
* Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to and resources are effectively deployed.
Selection Criteria:
1. NDIS Workers Orientation Module (essential)
2. A current First Aid certificate (essential)
Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Demonstrated caring and supportive attitude towards individuals.
2. Ability to work in a challenging and culturally diverse environment.
3. Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
4. Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.
Other Requirements:
1. Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months)
2. Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card)
3. A valid driver's licence
4. NDIS Workers Clearance
